Comparatively, Trivex is the next clearest to CR39 at 45, and polycarbonate is rated at 32 (higher numbers are better)."

The formula for converting an eyeglass prescription to prescription reading glasses or OTC reading glasses
Adding your SPHERE power to your ADD power.
Reader Strength = SPH + ADD. In this formula, SPH stands for sphere power, the main strength of your prescription, and ADD stands for add power, which is the additional correction needed for reading. Both numbers are usually written in quarter-diopter increments. For example, if your SPH is +1.25 and your ADD is +1.00, the strength of your reading glasses would be +2.25. The Cylinder and axis remain the same.
for Prescription reading glasses The cylinder and axis values remain the same. However, over-the-counter readers don't usually correct astigmatism so it only use the value for Sphere + ADD.
